got into the hobby once I saw how nice my fathers tank looked as a saltwater aquarium. I was originally into fresh water only. Now i cant get away from this addictive hobby.

Description:
Just set up 40 gallon breeder salt tank. It will soon be a reef tank when I get my lights this tuesday. This is my first salt water tank. I have a rena xp filter, an octapus BH-100 protien skimmer (not in picture), and three powerheads. I am still perfecting my setup at this point.

I got Started with Fish tanks while in the military stationed in Japan. my first was a 55 gal F/O saltwater and now i have a 55 gal cichlid tank and a 60 saltwater, soon to be reef. This is my first attempt at a reef set-up and Im definitely still learning so comments and advise is appreciated

2 clowns, 3 emerald crabs, 15 blue leg hermits, 10 turbo snails, 6 peppermint shrimp, 15 elephant slugs (they keep having babies too)
Corals/Plants:
50 lbs live rock, some mushrooms and poplys that just started to grow one day (not sure of names)

Clownfish, Sleeper goby, snails+crabs+shrimp, firefish and some starfish. Metal halides coming soon :)!
