Advice:
Don't think you have to start small. This is my first tank (55 gallon). Get the fish that interest you the most. You want to enjoy taking care of them. BEST ADVICE: DON'T RUSH INTO IT. Just do your research, get the right equipment and you'll be on your way to a whole new world of, well...fish.

Im a 19 year old college student living at home currently. Mother won't let me get more tanks! i like ultimate frisbee, bmx biking, outdoors. goin to school for environmental biologyish. Going to Eastern University. Love cars.

5 black neons, 7 blue/red neons, 4 glo-lite tetras, 3 orange swordtails, 3 flame tetra, 5 cherry barbs, 3 emrald corys, 1 blue/purple female betta, and a 10 gallon tank full of breeding guppies.

Some ramdom aquatic plants, various fake plants, algae and 2 pieces of driftwood.

Advice:
If your tank gets cloudy, don't worry, give it a month if you must like i had to. You can have a great tank on a low budget, get the sales and stuff that is natural that you can find outside or what not. Dont forget EBAY! But support your local aquarium store, plus the people there can help you out.
