Take your time & be prepared to come out of some big bucks. Once you get started you will keep on finding that "one more thing" for your tank & then you'll start thinkng about a BIGGER tank. In the end though you appreciate all of the work & cash you put into it; it will mesmerize you sometimes how beautiful your tank is.

45 Gallon Salt Water Fish Tank. Started on January 27th, 2006. This picture was taken on February 15th,, 2006. There are 2 3-Stripe Damsels, 2 Domino Damsels, 2 Yellow- Tail & 2 Yellow-Bellied Damsels, Blue Damsel, Royal Gramma Basselet, & Yellow Tang, anenome, crabs, shrimp, snail, starfish, & about 25/30 lbs. of live rock.

My sister has a 29 gallon goldfish tank that my mom was taking care of. So my brother got a 75 gallon then a 10, and 55 freshwater. Then i thought it look fun so no affence but the saltwater fish are more livley and brighter so i got a 40 gallon breeder off of craigslist. And here i am now.

this was my gift to myself for graduating from college. i am a massage therpist and my tank is my therapy. it is so calming i can spend a rediculous amount of time just observing. for my boyfriend its all about the carniverous fish. he loves to see them feed !

Advice:
enjoy the process, dont rush things. it is one of the most amazing processes i have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. i loved doing the aquascaping with each of my fishes personalities in mind.some like to hide, some like to rest and some like to swim so set the tank up with lots of options for those needs.
although i dont currently have an isolation/aclimation tank i would recomend it if you plan on having bold or agressive fish they will bite and end up killing new fish that seem week.the biggest problem i have is the older fish attacking new arrivals. i am going to try using a small hatchery for the time being.

Description:
This small 20 gallon tank takes much maintence but is totally worth it!!! My clownfish actually adapted to the Pink Tip Anemone as you can see in the pictures i have. VERY RARE! Plus i have 8 baby starfish that appered in my tank after my big starfish died.
