i started this aquarium on 10th of july 2008 only been running for about 7 months im still trying to tackle a little bit of diatoms and seem to be winning. got into the hobby because I wanted something more challenging than my old 12 gallon tropical! still a student my dream fish tank is a 500 gallon.

2 baby blue hippo tangs, 2 ocellaris clowns, 2 black percula clowns, 4 anemone crabs

no corals yet but hope to have some in about 3 months time when my tank is fully matured.

Advice:
always wait for your tank to cycle dont rush be patient so you dont make the mistake that i made.

75 gallon all glass aquarium. running on a 30 gallon refugium,with a G3 protein skimmer.For the lighting I have a current metal halide fixture with 2 14k bulbs.
For my return I am running a sea swirl rotating head that rotates 180 degrees.

I have had freshwater tanks most of my adult life and decided to try my hand a saltwater. Boy what an experience! I have learned everything by trial and error. I read a lot of books and articles and searched the web alot. I started with a 55 gallon and quickly realized I wanted bigger! I went to a 75 gallon and decided that is where I will stay.

Had freshwater tanks since I was a kid and just set up my 1st salt tank about 3 years ago

Purple Tang, Yellow Tang, Blue Green Chromis, 2 Tank Bred Ocellaris clownfish, lyretail anthias,2 pepperment Shrimp, 2 scarlet skunk cleaner Shrimp, tuxedo Urchin and the clean-up crew started out with 45 Scarlet Reef Hermits, 45 Dwarf Blue Leg Hermits, 45 Astraea Turbo Snails and 30 Nassarius Snails but who knows how many there are now
Corals/Plants:
Green Hairy Mushroom, 8 different color variation zoas fruit loops, tubbs blue, orange bam bam, tye dye,forgot the names of the others purple death palys 2 frogspawns, blasto, lobo, brain, 4 acans, 4 chalices,bleeding apple scolyma,
pumping zenia, 1 polyp dendro,long tentical anemone, bubble tip anemone , various mushrooms and an unknown sps
