I'm 18 in high school and just wanted something dope to pull my room together and make it more relaxing but quickly became consumed by the hobby I love that u don't need to know a lot about the hobby but u CAN learn a lot about it

Advice:
Take your time don't just go and buy a tank and fish In the same day set up the tank first and let the nitrogen cycle happen and if u don't know what the nitrogen cycle is learn about it cuz it's one of the most important pieces of information u need

Super low-maintenance system on a college student budget. All gravel rocks and driftwood were collected from a local beach and microwaved before being added to the tank. About half an inch of organic potting soil beneath about an inch of gravel.

Advice:
Do plenty of weekly water changes. And keep aquarium salt handy:)
Also feed a variety, live food is usually better and try not to overfeed. Fish like living plants and places to hide.

just started this planted tank was using it to house fry decided to try it out all plants moss rocks and drift wood i got from the local river in my area realy liking it so going to order the proper lighting and co2 just need to do some research on what i need open for any suggestions
