About Yourself:
Something about me... well, I'm a chemistry student and I live in the Netherlands, and my hobby is, obviously, keeping goldfish :)
Fish Kept:
2 goldfish, orange veiltails
Corals/Plants:
Anibias nana, Valisnera americana, Egeria densa, Hygrophila difformis and Hygrophila polysperma and some traces of Vesicularia dubyana.
Tank Size:
29 gallons
Advice:
Trying to keep goldfish in a planted tank can, and will, be very, very frustrating. It takes a lot of time, and patience to make anything green grow in a goldfish tank. But, it's worth it :)
Description:
This is what my tank looked like in january 2008, after my fish had eaten most of the newly added plants. I'm trying to get the remainign plants to grow, it's not really working though.

"Oh no! My fish is gone...and he robbed me!" - Chris, Family Guy
About Yourself:
I started keeping freshwater fish in April 2008. I got into the hobby of fishkeeping mostly because the apartment in which I live does not allow dogs over 25 lbs. Seeing as how I don't like cats or mini-dogs (a.k.a., ankle-biters), fish seemed like the best alternative. Besides, they are quiet roommates.
Aside from my main tank, I also have two large fishbowls which house two male veiltail bettas--one blue, one cellophane.
Fish Kept:
Semi-Aggressive Freshwater Tank:
2 x Crowntail Bettas (male; "Neo" & "Predator");
1 x Silver-Black Angelfish (male; "Sephiroth");
1 x Firemouth Cichlid (male; "Dante");
1 x Green Terror Cichlid (male; "Neptune");
1 x Rainbow/Ruby Shark (gender undetermined; "?").
As the cichlids grow, they will be moved to a larger tank. In the mean time, all is going very well for them.
Corals/Plants:
All plastic/rubber, custom-made from supplies purchased at an arts & crafts store. Why pay more at a pet store?
Tank Size:
20 gallons
Advice:
Research or redo...your choice.
