Fish Kept:
cichlids: 1 male lombardoi, 1 female lombardoi, 1 red cap itungi, 1 blue dolphin, 1 calvus yellow, 1 blue point south goby, 2 electric yellows, 1 firemouth, 1 green terror, 2 convicts, 1 frontosa, 1 red top gallireya and 1 firefish albino. also, 1 pleco. was gonna go all african, but i really like my green terror so i kept the other s. americans as well.
Corals/Plants:
all real plants: java fern, hornwort, anacharis. i don't have to plant in substrate with these plants so they work with my cichlids. hornwort grows really fast so my tank's look is always changing. cut here, plant there. i like to plant them in the small holes on the lace rock. about 30 lbs of lace rock. 1 piece of mopani wood.
Tank Size:
90 gallons
Advice:
i'm new to this as well. i've been reading books, magazines, and websites. and taking advice from friends who have some experience.

About Yourself:
I am fairly new to the hobby. I started the tank during my R & R from Kuwait with the Army in July of 2009 with regular community tropical fish. When I returned home from deployment in October 2009, My wife and I decided to change over to Cichlids.
Fish Kept:
I keep this tank stocked kind of heavy in order to help keep aggression down with the fish.
African Cichlids:
3- Melanochromis Aurutus (all males)
5- Yellow Labs (unsure of sex)
11- Pseudotropheus saulosi (6 males, 5 females)
South American Cichlid:
1- Jack Dempsey (male)
Regular community tropical fish:
1- Rainbow Shark
1- Silver Dollar
1- Pleco
Other:
1- Blue Crayfish named Fred!
Corals/Plants:
None, Cichlids like to EAT plants!
Tank Size:
55 gallons
Advice:
You might as well get the biggest aquarium possible now because once you get one, you will want a BIGGER one!!! I am going tommorow to purchase a 120 gallon!
