About Yourself:
Have always wanted to start a tank. I thought it would be too hard. My wife then inspired me to start one, upon someone giving us a tank. I met a guy from a local shop who quickly debunked some saltwater tank myths. Now I've got the fever. My future plans are to have a very large in wall tank. More to come soon...
Fish Kept:
Interesting hitchhiking Hawaiian Fireworm appeared from within one of my seed rocks.
Corals/Plants:
One 30+ polyp colony of orange zoos.

Research, research & more research! Learn from everyone else's advice and experience. Limejuice injections DIRECTLY INTO THE BASE of aiptasia anemones does work to get rid of them.

"Don't be jealous!"
About Yourself:
I first started with a 10GL freshwater planted aquarium that was a gift. Bought a 29GL freshwater planted, then recently bought a 55GL freshwater planted and made the 29GL into marine. So far i have done a good job without any CO2, but I want my plants to do better, so I am looking into a pressurized system. Its a lot of money, but worth it from what I have read everywhere. Between this tank and my saltwater they just drain my money, but I'm sure i can fish out about $200 sometime in the next month or so.
Fish Kept:
Gold and regular tetras, Otocinclus, Dwarf puffer fish, Marble and Ghost Shrimp, neons, serpae tetras, and recently some electric green glo fish.

Tank Size:

Advice:

"Its not so hard"
About Yourself:
I currently Install/maintain ElectronIc security systems for the Gov't and major corporations. I started out with freshwater aquariums for about two years, but never had the same fascination with freshwater fish as I did with saltwater fish. The color and uniqueness of the fish always caught my eye when I went into stores to go buy equipment and food for my fresh water tank. I was always scared to start a new hobby with saltwater fish (everyone saying how hard its and how expensive it can be) but once I moved in my new home I figured it was a great opportunity to start something new....so I did. This is my first tank and it has been up and running for since 11/12/07.
Fish Kept:
Volatile lion fish,
Copper Banded Butterfly,
Auruga Butterfly,
Emperor Angel,
Brittle Star,
Green Wolf Eel,
Clorki Clown,
Yellow Tail Blue Damsel
Corals/Plants:
Hawian lava rock
live rock
Tank Size:
125 gallons
Advice:
Do your homework before you start, take in consideration everything about starting a saltwater aquarium (ex: type of fish, rock, stand and whether or not ur going to do fish only or coral), buy for the future of your tank; not just for now. Find some one that has experience in saltwater aquaruims and that you can trust to help you make decisions to upkeep your tank correctly. Thanks Mark, for all you help and guidence throughout this process.
