Description: This was a 5 gallon "kit tank". First thing I did was yeet the interior filter and light. I cut the lid to fit a clear Pulaco hob, light is by Ming Dak. FYI: light still isn't working well for plants. Going to upgrade soon. I may yeet the whole lid. Aqueon preset flat heater keeps the temp at a steady 77F. Substrate is Fluval stratum. Hardscape is mopani and stone. A not so noticeable feature of my scape is the wood and stone arch underneath makes a great hiding cave! I do a 30% water change every Monday right after I watch Fishtank Review by Fish For Thought. (Lol!)
Advice: Research, research, research! Don't rush to buy your fish. Take it slow and keep it zen, and REALLY let your tank cycle and age.
Fish Kept: Crown Tail Betta, Khuli loach, Otocinclus Catfish (, Bladder snail, Detritus worms
Corals/Plants: Cabomba, moneywort, anubias nana petite, bolbitis, dwarf Sagittaria, and 2 I forget the name of....
Tank Size: 5 gallons
Quote: Think outside the box!
About Yourself: 25 years ago I tried keeping fish... 2 goldfish in a 2 gallon bowl, barf gravel, neon plastic plants, no filter.... It ended in heartbreak. Now I'm back, and this is my first tank. I'm so happy to have such a biological tank!
