Description: CO2: , , Automatic CO2 injection @ pH > 6.9 (the water source is pH 7.5 but with my natural gravel, there's excess minerals and it raises the pH to 8.0 and kH to 13. So with controlled pH of 7.0-ish I'm running the injection at around 50ppm - and most people online recommend 30 ppm.) When I run out, the pH does go up to 8.0 - which is a full point - in a matter of a few hours but everybody seems to be OK. , , , Lights: , , 2 x 65w 10000 ?K @ 3hrs x 2 / day with 4hrs of siesta period. , 2 x 65w 8000 ?K @ 7hrs x 2 / day with 2hrs of siesta period. , , , Filter: , , 2x Emporer 280 with customized media , , , , Chemistry: , , pH: 6.9 - 7.1 , kH: 13 , Temp: 78deg (summer max temp 86deg) , NH3: 0ppm , NO2: 0ppm , NO3: 0-15ppm , , , Fertilizers: , , All Seachem products at their recommended dosage. , , Flourish - 4mL @ twice a week , Flourish Trace - 10mL @ twice a week , Flourish Potassium - 7mL @ once a week , Flourish Phosphorus - 5mL @ once a week , Flourish Iron - 4mL @ once a week , , , Maintenance: , , I'm experimenting with the stability of my system and haven't done any water changes since May (now it's October). But before it was 30% water change / two months (for the first couple of months, I did 20% water change / week)., , I think I'll do a water change soon though. Filter's gunky and there's quite a bit of waste accumulation on the bottom.,
Advice: Pretty difficult keeping both fancy goldfishes and plants! Especially having the goldfishes NOT disturb the aquascape.
