Spray bars attached to the outlets of the powerheads. ViaAqua Titanium Aquarium Heater, 200-Watt Two Finnex Monster Ray Aquarium Color Enhancing LED Strip, 30-Inch Lights are on a timer. Caribsea Eco-Complete African Cichlid Zack Sand substrate Stacked stone from a local rockery I feed the cichlids once a day Dainichi Cichlid Food - Color FX and Dainichi ? Color Supreme Seachem Marine buffer keeps the PH right around 8.2 to 8.3 Seachem Cichlid Lake Salt as well as several other Seachem products like Prime. I have all the filters hooked up to battery backup in case of power outages. Pumps should run for 36 hours before my backups run out of power.
Advice: Have more filtration than you need as long as it is not blowing your fish around the tank.
