Advice: You CAN have a beautiful tank on a reasonable budget....do your homework on equipment! Start with low/medium light if you are at all unsure about ferts, dosing and water chemistry.
Fish Kept: 10 Turquoise rainbowfish (M. lacustris), 2 Bristlenose plecos, 3 SAEs, 3 otos, 3 cories, 2 Botia striata, 3 tiger barbs, a few miscellaneous fish (penguin tetra, cherry barb, diamond tetra)
Corals/Plants: Rotala rotundifolia, Hygrophila salicifolia, red tiger lotus, dwarf hairgrass, Limnophila aromatica, Ludwigia brevipes, Ludwigia repens, Myriophyllum mattogrossense, Crinum calamistratum, ozelot sword, Alternanthera reineckii, Aponogeton crispus, Didiplis diandra, Hygrophila polysperma "Ceylon", Hygrophila polysperma "Tropic Sunset", unident. large sword plant, R. rotundifolia "green"

wow your tank is beautiful! I just got a 29 gallon tank and i want it to be a planted one but i have never done one before so i need some help. How much time and work does it take to have such a beautiful tank like yours? ALso how long do plants last for?
