Description: This is a first attempt at a fresh water community tank with plants. Substrate is washed blasting sand with flourite, then topped with mexican beach pebbles Driftwood is Malaysian off of ebay. I ran it through the dishwasher for about 4 cycles then place in the tank. Filters are Emperor 400(2), with a LED bubbler strip. Lighting is 2 36" dual T8s/2 plant lights and 2 regular Water is all Seachem products. Prime,Stability, Flourish and Excel
Advice: Patience is key. and for larger tanks always have a separate smaller tank like a 10 gallon for quarantine. Treaking ICK in a large tank is a pain. Also most peoiple dont tell you this but DO NOT put aquarium salt in your tank if you have live plants. It will kill them over night.
Fish Kept: Mollies,Platys, Corys, Golden alge eater, Rubber lip plecosumus, African black knife,Clown loach, tons of ghost shrimp, 4 snails, african dwarf frogs, 4 Angel fish, neon tetras, other tetras, rainbow fish....uh i think thats it. All together about 60 fish not including the 50 ghost shrimp.( they dont last long, my Angelfish eats them, its a great treat for them though)
Corals/Plants: I have a wide variety of plants. from moss ball to java fern.
Tank Size: 125 gallons
About Yourself: I am a dog groomer at Petsmart and me and my co workers kinda got in the hobby. I found a good deal on a large tank and I wanted to do it right. about 1500$ later im still learning stuff.
