Description: I have a 20 gallon fish tank (24 x 13 inches) with a school of black neon tetras, albino corydoras, and zebra danios. The tank is kept consistently at 78 degrees F and is lit by a standard LED hood. I have several artificial plants, live anubias nano, some newly added dwarf hairgrass, rocks, and a driftwood branch for natural water softening. It's heavily decorated with both real and artificial plants for my fish to find places to hide. The tank came with a kit by Aqueon that included the hood, filter, water conditioner, some food, and a heater. I threw out the kit's heater since I had a much nicer one that allows me to adjust the temperature. All of the fish are healthy and both ammonia and nitrates are kept at safe levels by weekly 20% water changes. The fish are well-oxygenated by the live plants, filter output, and a 15 gallon oxygen stone.
Advice: Never overstock your tank! Better to understock than overstock. Beware of what pet stores will tell you. They aren't always entirely honest and sometimes don't know everything. Research your fish before purchasing them.
Fish Kept: Black Neon Tetra (5), Zebra Danio (5), Albino Aeneus Cory Cat (3)
Corals/Plants: Anubias Nano, Dwarf Hairgrass
Tank Size: 20 gallons

About Yourself: I got into the hobby just like anyone else probably. I started keeping goldfish as a kid. I kept a single goldfish for a long time until it jumped out of the tank in the middle of the night. That was it for fish tank keeping for a long time. Now that I'm older, however, I've gotten my own fish and kept them up by myself. I've just gotten into the very advanced aspects of fish tank keeping and love it very much. I strive to keep my fish in a pristine environment and maintain it. It sits right across from my bed providing a great view. I enjoy watching the fish swim around and interact with each other. They're very interesting! Aquarium keeping is a fulfilling hobby, and I'd recommend it to anyone.
