Advice: Think 20 year journey not instant display picture. Remember that the aquarium will always CHANGE and there is no end point. Research, research, research. Go slowly and grow with the aquarium. If you see an aquarium set up you like, follow the methods of the owner. There are many ways to get a good aquarium but be careful not to mix approaches. One Marinepure block (20x8x5cm) is worth ~5kg of reef rock so you can beef up your bacterial populations hugely. They act like a deep sand bed too and convert nitrate into harmless nitrogen gas. Get the biggest tank and skimmer you can afford. Get the strongest Tunze algae scraper for your glass thickness and clean glass regularly to stop hard to remove build up. Get automated from the start - best to buy Apex ready pumps and lights if you chose that controller. As the aquarium grows, so will your investment and risk of a costlycrash.
Fish Kept: Ocellaris Clownfish, Tank Bred (, Kaudern's Cardinal, Blue/Green Reef Chromis, Clown Goby, Yellow, Bicolor Blenny, Firefish, Purple
Corals/Plants: Acans, torches, elegance, chalice, blastos, lobophyllias, zoas
