seaclone protien skimmer
dose anyone run these ,are they any good for a newbie with a 30 gal tank. I can get one for up to a 100 gal for 75 $. What do you guys think

they work good for what they are. for a entry level skimmer it will pull alot out of your water. but they are a pain in the arse.when you clean the cup. it will put bubbles in your tank on startup ,until the skimmer starts to collect foam. make sure you keep the sponge,skimmer neck and cup clean.but for a 30 gallon tank it should do great....good luck

yes sir, the seaclones are excellent, and for the price you definitly cant go wrong, im using the 100 on my 40 gallon reef, it does make bubbles when its disturbed, but im about to put it in a sump, so thats not an issue for me. Thats another +, its for hang on back or in sump installation.
my tank is covered in coralline algae, buy the skimmer and it will do wonders in such a small tank, trust me
