calcium questions
my calcium has been at 550ppm for almost a month now and i have not added any calcium supplements.i have been doing weekly water changes. do you think i should get another calcium test kit? is it bad for my calcium to be high for that long, and does anyone have any suggestions?

No, it's not bad for it to be that high but unless you have been over dosing 2 part, I doubt that the test is accurate.
What is your alkalinity and magnesium level?
What salt brand do you use?

On the other side I am pretty sure, that the test kit is old, or you have false readings..

My all was at 90 ppm but I added a buffer and I heard that it will have an affect on calcium levels and I have been adding mag forever

i would stop adding the magnesium, and test for it . also if it is 2 part it could bleach corals over time.also calcium chloride ions will also acumialate over time. and i agree your test kits are bad....
