High PH
Is this going to affect my fish? Do I need to add a water softener?

I don't know what your PH is, but most fish can adjust to a PH of 8.0 to 8.4 with no trouble. If you bought your fish locally, chances are the water in your dealers display tank comes from the same source yours does. I would advise against commercial water softeners. Adding driftwood will lower the PH naturally.

That's good to hear, thanks! I'll just add some driftwood if I'm still concerned, then.
