Thought I would create another thread for this even though it is sort of related to my other barb thread.
So if I chose tiger barbs for a community barb tank how should I be expecting them to get along with the other barbs? Are they better, like not such bullies, with their own kind? What about with bottom dwelling fish - would they leave them alone for the most part?
I think the tigers are really attractive looking - they've got a cool shape and their top fin reminds me of a shark! But I'm wondering if I'd be better off choosing another species of barb all the same.... I already plan on having at least 2-3 barb species in this tank. And I want it to be generally peaceful, although I don't mind some chasing as long as no one get nipped a lot and bullied.

Re: Tiger barb expectations
I once kept a large school of Tiger barbs, "albino, greens and standard" together with Odessa barbs and Denison barbs in a 65 gal. Tank. No problems.
