Is it just me or are we getting some wacky weather this summer?
Louisiana flooded, Hurricane Hermine hitting Florida last month and breaking the 11 year break of no hurricanes, then Tropical Storm Julia appearing over land here and almost out of nowhere the other day and flooding areas...apparently there's a like 2% chance of that happening, if I remember correctly. The weathermen were baffled. Tropical storms hardly ever form over land, but instead over the ocean.
And Tropical Storm Newton has been in the West/Midwest. I think there was a bad storm on the northeast coast recently too.
Now I heard there might be another hurricane hitting here soon. I hope not!
Poor California could use all this rainfall though!

Huh, that's weird - I wonder what causes storms to be more prevalent during a certain period of time?

So I guess the meteorologists were right, another hurricane formed, Hurricane Matthew. It's hitting us in Florida right now.
I had heard that it hit south of us and a lot of damage had been caused but I didn't realize until yesterday that many people died too. Over 350 are dead in Haiti and the number is said to rise
