I read lowering salinity in an fo tank (corals like hight salt) helps eliminate parasites which thrive in highly saline water. Is this a quick fix or do you have to keep salinity low over time? Nothing happened yet..just curious how to fix things w/o meds

i here it works but dont know about the length of time.i know it would take a couple weeks to lower salinity safely.
