ya i jst chcked my lights. they r only 6700 so thts y there is so much algea. im getting a 10000 and am gonna stop my lights 4 2 days with a blanket over the tank

nothing wrong with that pink/purple algae its a sort after algae called CORALINE, alot of people cant even get it going.
That sort of growth means your CALCIUM and ALKALINITY is good.
Turn off your pumps and filters and scrape it from the glass and allow it to spread on to your rocks and it will spread.

Makes everything look great when it gets going on the Live rock
