Hello! I have a one year old Solana aquarium and need some advice. For the last few weeks the protien skimmer cup has suddenly started filling up quickly w/ water instead of just filling w/ the normal dark stuff. When I remove the cup, I can tell it's pulling in too much air... there is no way to adjust the air intake. Do i need a new skimmer??? ps. I was adding "chemiclean" red slime remover earlier this month, but have done at least one 1/4 tank water change since adding it.

I would blame it on the chemclean. It would cause the water to sud up the skimmer easier. Kind of like an oil base film that would allow more bubbles to develop. Just give it some time and maybe try cleaning the connections to you skimmer.
