are there ANY nudibranch or other sea slugs for me?
Can anyone provide me with any suggestions on a speices of Nudibranch, or some sort of "sea slug" that would be safe with a reef aquarium with reef safe fish and inverts? they are so beautiful but i keep getting shot down, trying to find a suitible one that may make a good addition to a reef tank.

thank you for the links jdak!! Do you by chance know if I should worry about any of these slugs you listed, "nuking" my tank? That is my main worry, plus i worry of they will feed off of the corals or other reef in my tank. I love them, but just dont want to make a cruical mistake with them I can not undo. Thanks again

well ive had a "Blue spotted sea hare" in the past and it was great... it just ran out of stuff to eat and died.... my tank wasnt that established and it kinda starved to death.... what can i say i was new to the reef tanks..... but it didnt nuke my tank either...... all of my livestock made it just fine.....

Too bad to hear that joyce. I read somewhere that they eat vegi sheets but i'm sure that isn't as practical as it sounds. I had this link too. At the bottom their are a couple that say they will nuke your tank but it's a LR hitchhiker article. They aren't usually sold as tank mates.

It is at the bottom and basically says some eat algae, some eat sponges, and some are just predators...
wow... my lfs premiumaquatics.com has a lettuce nuti for $6

i read they will eliminate unwanted algae and such, so i guess it is safe to assume that they will not take a bite out of anything im my tank (coral and reef wise) that i would not want them to, correct? ....I really like this lettuce nuti.

funny thing about the family is that every nudi only eats one thing.
As for nuking I wouldn't worry. It would nuke the dealers when netted but If it did nuke yours then all you do is a 60 % water change and your fine.
