I am getting water tested today while I get a new coral.
nit 0.5 phos 0, I use RO water.
Its been set up for about 2 month.
We are going to do a water change today.
I have some red algea creeping up my yellow polyps. what should I do???

its probably part of your red slime, I would just fan it away with your hand. That should rid it enough so it doesnt bother them. You can vac your sand with a gravel vac, it just depends on the grade. Oolite sand will come right up with the water, where caribsea special floor grade will not. It just depends on the particle size. What kind of skimmer are you using?

found the problem, I got it tested and phos is 1.25.......... so I got 3 turbo snails and new phosband.

Just remember.....snails only eat algae.......they dont export it. Those nutrients are still in your tank, just in the form of snail poo instead of algae. So the deitritus still must be removed. Sounds like your sand and rock are full of phosphates which means you have a tough but doable road ahead. Change that phosban maybe twice a week.......and try to do weekly water changes of 40%. That should help you out a LOT.
