don't have much experience with lionfishes but have had heard and read that anything fishe that are smaller than it's mouth can potentially be food.

LOL a friend of mine who started me in this addiction said -the only thing you need to remember is "if one fish will fit in anothers mouth, it will end up there"
also that cheap fish taste just like expensive fish.......read the compatability charts my friend, good luck

lions are just fine for a reef tank but as stated befor by other if it fits in its mouth it is going to eat it. and be carefull with alge control the olny thing thay wont bother with is larger hermits snails and urchins. a lion is like a oscer very friendly as long as it has a good place to hide, if you dont give it a cave it will over stress. i say go with a fuzzy dworf. thay are realy hardy dont git bigger then 3 or 4 inches and have some nice coleration to them. good luck it is nice to see people like to try them in reef tanks most are to wored. :)

I just asked that same question, and i was given a bad answer which is that the lion fish will eat most any fish that fits in its mouth

remember they will grow to the size of an adult hand..i really want one to but if you do those ur have to have bigger fish, i might try the lionfish with a few larger damsels or cheap larger fish to see what he does in my 75gal
