Silver dollars are good schooling fish...not aggressive at all just a little skiddish. Eventually you may need to upgrade though because they get a few inches bigger. I have two in my 20 gallon right now with a jack dempsey blue acara two loaches and a catfish and they do perfectly fine. I also have one in my 40 gallon tank and he's about 4 or 5 inches now.

Cherry barbs aren't very good schoolers, but i understand that they still prefer to be kept in groups. Silver dollars are amazing fish, but get to be quite big and prefer to be kept in schools, this will help them to be less skiddish. A 20 gal will not be big enough.
