"Priming" filter?
I know all about priming a surface that will be painted. What is this business of priming a filter? Im picking one up today for someone and if i end up with the Eheim canister filter it will probably need to be primed and if this is not detailed in the instructions I wont have a clue what to do. Any and all suggestions/directions welcome. :) I'm totally hyped about setting up this new tank today!

Nope. no button. The instructions give me 3 options...2 of which mention extra "not included" accessories. Will i kill the unit if theres a bit of air in it when i turn it on? i plan on filling everything (including the hoses) with water as best as i can.

Another update...you guys are gonna laugh but i didnt have enough suction power to make it work. I ended up buying a gasoline syphon from the hardware store and it worked like magic. All is running well.

and im pretty not impressed with Eheim at the moment. One of the shut off valves for the hoses is leaking big time....and somehow cracked....59$ to order a new one? No thankyou. So i went to the hardware store and built my own. fingers crossed it holds up.
