algae blooms? help
ok i read to change water daily and do not turn on the light. also wrap the tank in a black cloths to prevent light to kill algae.... anything else i can do?

Kinda drastic action in my opinion,you need to cure the source of the algae else it will just return,just killing off whats there in the way you are trying to do it wont work long term.
The algae thrives in your tank for a reason,just need to find out what it is:)
Are you using carbon in your filter?
Are you using any form of phosphate remover?
Are you using tap water for your water changes?
Are you doing 10% water changes weekly?

overfeeding and lights on to long or bulbs that r old with a deteriorating spectrum are the main course for algae bloom
