Disease or Just discoloration??
I have had this imperial angelfish for about a half a year now. I got it from my fish store with hole in the head and I have been trying to cure it. I have been feeding it a variety diet. Just the last couple of days though, he has been acting kind of funny. He has developed these white dots on his side, like the size of a small rain drop. His coloration also seems to have faded a little. Today he did not eat as much as he normally does. The spots do not see as if it a parasite growing on him, but is this a bacteria disease or is this just him becoming an adult?

do you really think thats it? Do you think he is just changing into an adult? I dont know if this matters but his poop was white, and I dont recall the color before. I just remember hearing that a healthy fish's poop was always a dark color. Any advise?

hmmmmmm. You could always pick up a few different kinds of fish/squid/shrimp at you grocery store......blend them in to a mash but with small chunks with some algae sheets....and feed him that. Thats the best way to be sure hes getting what he needs. When in doubt do it yourself. It does sound just a stage though. He's a uniform white.....if it was splotched I would be concerned. By the way.......since the pictures arent posting......all you have to do is press reply and they will show up. :) Just a heads up.

he passed away this morning. I took it to the fish store, and apparently he has been beaten up by my blue tang by the spike by their tail. This caused the fish to be stressed and could not handle it anymore. I did not see it coming...
