Hi,
I have recently bought a Red Scat from my local fish supplier. It is currently living in fresh water (quite happily) and I have been told that it live in both fresh or salt water since it is a brackish water species. I would like to transfer him into my saltwater tank but I'm not sure how to do this. Would it adjust to the different water conditions quite easily? or should I gradually add salt into the current tank (which he lives in by himself) until it reaches the levels of the saltwater tank?

gradually add salt into the current tank (which he lives in by himself) until it reaches the levels of the saltwater tank. However i'm not quite sure they can live in full strength SW, they're more of brackish fish.
