So heres the deal I found a perfect piece of LR, possible the coolest one I have ever seen. Well to say the least I am thinking of making another SW tank, but here is the catch I dont want to spend thousands of dollars for it. So here goes.

Specs:

- 18x18x18 corner overflow (Custom made of 1/2 inch acrylic) 25 gallons
- 2 65w PC compacts (not really needed cuz its not going to be really a reef)
- 1 sweet ass piece of LR and 20lbs of maybe black sand
- Custom stand and Canopy
- Small sump with auto top off
- CPR backpak skimmer (hangon)

All for what you ask? ..... cost of acrylic probably about 100 to 200 bucks I have all the other stuff.

What might you ask am I going to put in this tank you might ask?

thats a beauty...............do you have cell cast acrylic? if not that lil fella will shatter regular acrylic in asecond if he decides to snap on the glass {when he's an adult of course}

cube tank with nice lights and black sand and a kickin piece of LR is going to be HOT!!!!!!! - - - might i suggest a metal stand, got any mates that can do some crazy welding for you? make it look all archaic [sp]] mid evil and shit - - -sweet

That is a sweet piece of rock, I wouldnt want a mantis shrimp ruining it though. I think the tank build is a great idea, but not for a mantis shrimp even though they are beautiful.

Thats just me.

i think 50% of the threads on here are people wanting to start new tanks...... this obsession is rediculous
