how do i keep the sand in my tank the cleanest/whitest?

just a point to note on the gobies,they have an annoying habit of leaving/spitting the sand on the corals that are placed on the sand bed.

It is normal for a new tank to go trogh the brown algea stage however i dont know if your tank is new also snails liek to much on the brown garbage aldo diamon gobies are my best bet becaus other gobes liek to swim with the sand and then dump it ont he rocks. my anemonie got mad when he spit sand on hima nd tried to get him while he was sleeping.
