Thanks newbie916, keeping SPS is actually quite easy once the basics of water flow and light are grasped.(took me a while). I burnt and RTN'd a few sps before I realized that 10-12 hours of intense Halide light was not good and finally went to a more sensible 6.5 hours of Halide light per day. Yeah, I know. I learned the hard way!
I have never used a UV sterilizer but I am not against the use of one. I have just never heard enough of a convincing argument to warrant spending the money on one.

Wow, I'm sure you saw a difference in your electric bill also. I'm still working on my tank and I'm going to hold off on additional SPS's until my water is balanced for another few months. Do you use a wavemaker in your tank?
