cleaning out my filter sock this morning and found like 5 of them ....not good, .has anyone had any luck starving these things? or a shrimp that may eat them? i would like to add a tang in a few months but the isopods gota go..

More then likely they were hitchhikers on your live rock. Not much you can do, but starve them. They prolly will die without any meaty food or fish to attach. I also heard that Iodine dips might help. I'd definitely do it before adding more rock. The good news is they doesn't reproduce as quick as copepods or amphipods. Try Lugol's or coral dip.
I think you have a very good chance to kill the colony of those bitches.

i thought i was the expert, lol..they are going to starve one way or another.once i finish with the rock i am going to add a tang, i read to use a tang for bait..the pods will atach at night i can capture the fish and pluck em off,also there are traps i can make..i also found my first colony of copeods there is mabie 50 of them eating the algae.
