Ok, Im planning on starting over my 29 gallon. What I need to know, is what is all the Filters, lights, and sand I need to use.

P.S: Im planing on having about 35-40 pounds of Live Rock. (Fiji)

good set of PC lights, sump filtration if you can if not a good sized canister {fluval FX5, is a good one} araglive sand {color is your choice, natural, white or black}

thats a start - -why the restart??

ic - - i crashed my tank the first time too, turned out to be a combination of my rushing things {don't we all on the first tank} and useing crushed coral substrate, man the detritus was bad and nitrates and ammo were deadly in there - woke up one day and couldn't even see into the tank and everything was dead......BOOM....overnight

yep................the key is to let it run for a while before loading it up - - - - in theory a 5 gallon bucket with a cheap as filter will eventually balance without a bioload in it - -you know?


also in my opinion - -i think a lot of us run at the max on our loads - - if we can support 5 fish in a 20 gallon tank we have 5 maybe even 6 fish in there - - -redlined


i have been to adopt my new theory of over filtering and under stocking - -i have 3 small clowns in a 20 long and theres plenty of room for another fish or two -- but the maintenece on my tank right now is non exsistent so i won't be adding any more to this tank ...........see what i'm saying?
