Another snail question.

Are they supposed to lay upside down half out of their shell in the day time? They look dead but move every 30 minutes or so? Is this normal?

They are gold and blue mystery snails. When I stuck my hand into the tank and touched them they closed up pretty quick.

They're alien snails and they're devising a plan to eat you the next time you stick your finger in there via their dreaded ''upside-down'' cult of doom.

Usually if a snail is extremely unhappy with the water parameters it will do all it can to leave the water...so if you have a hood I would expect to see them hanging from it or very near the lip of the tank.

hmmm, well they aren't doing that. Only when I first put them in the tank they came to the top then went back down.
