ok so i have read alot that peat moss helps keep PH lower
and i have serched around for it found some at wal-mart
super cheap like $6 for a big ass thing of it. now if it plain pure peat moss no extra ferts or anything do i just put it in a mesh bag and put it in my filter, and how often should i replace it?

I would use organic peat moss cause I'd be afraid there'd be something in it that may be bad for the fish. I know Miricle Grow kills fish. Why not pH buffer?

yes i use that too but with my hard water i got to triple the dose and at 10 bucks a pop it can prove to be a lil expensive....there is alot of limestone in ks and a water table is really low so my water is number one extreamly hard and a ph of 8.5ish to 9.0 sometimes
