just because they are cheaper to build and are disposable in crashes... look at the lemans races... those are real sports cars... how come ford or lincoln don't dominate...?

real sports cars? A real sports car would be one in which the emblem contains a horse aka ferrari... rediculously expensive for the 1960's american.... and well i do belive that ford made the gt-40 and i do believe that from 1966 to 1969, four years strait, the race was won by gt-40s :)

ferrari does have racing cred in F1, but in lemans they are junk... the american lemans is being dominated by corvette engines in cadilac chassis... and the european lemans is being dominated and will always be dominated by audi... srsly...
ford does have alot of cars out there racing, but they aren't on top... look at thier rally cars... christopher loeb was going to start racing in a escort cosworth but he called it a piece of junk... hahahasdjflsadf... that's probably the fastes best sports car ford came out with... so he settled for a japanese subaru impreza... ajskdlfjaskdljadfjad;slf...

um .............. my blood bleeds Porsche Guards red - - -but i"m a high perfomance diesel nut...and if you look at the record books the Lemans has been won for the last 2 yrs by a V-10 Audi Diesel..................ROCK THAT KNOCK BABY!!!!!!!
I just traded 2 powerstrokes in on this new 4.5 twin T V-6 stroke, but the F-250 had banks intake and 6 inch exhaust controlled by the SCT Livewire tuner -- i could pump close to 700 horse and 1200 ft lbs of torque - - - - - a budy of mine is going to the diesel nationals this weekend and hopefully can scam me a tune for this 4.5 ................and he's grabbing me some 5 inch stacks for it .......we'll see

My recommendations use the largest skimmer that you can afford at this time, and that space allows. You can never technically over filter your aquarium water ever, in any aspect...even skimming.
If you ever have an aquarium with delicate corals, you will have to keep an eye on crashing or strong water currents, being too strong for them at times.
However for FOWLR tanks, strong currents are good and welcome for most fish, it allows them to gain that much needed cardivascular exercise that they usually don't get while kept in captivity.
One of the better protein skimmers on the market today, along with a few others, is the Precision Marine; this one can be run externally without a sump.
Some would say, a little pricey, but you can pick up a factory second from them directly at this web address http://precisionmarine.com/ ...from here just click on factory seconds. They are good friends of OCReef, mention that I recommended you... if you do in fact wish to go with them.
As far as most of the other Protein Skimmers, like the Prizm or the Sea Clone, don't bother wasting your money on them. A Good rule of thumb, if Petsmart or Petco sells it, usually you shouldn't but it.
