are you using a UV filter... that might help with the algae bloom...

I have looked into the UV filter, but no matter where I put it, I run the risk of frying copepods. I dont think my scooter would be too happy with me. I have thought about one though. Does it kill copepods? I just ordered 50 dollars of copepods to feed my scooter. Damn picky fish, but hes fun to watch.

UV sterilization won't kill or harm any of your livestock, including copepods.

Well then it sounds like Im going to start saving some cash for one. :) Anything extra is fun! I completly overhauled my sump by the way. I pulled out all the crushed coral and put in live sand. Anyone that wants the crushed coral, if you pay shipping its yours.
