So do Dwarf Cichlids get along or not?

by Zambize4899

I keep getting conflicting information about this. I'm working on the final roster for my main tank and I have everything except one final fish. Some are in my main tank and some are still in the Q-tank, but this is what I have:

Melanotaenia praecox 1 female Dwarf Rainbowfish
Betta Splendens 1 female Betta
Colisa lalia 1 Dwarf Neon Blue Gourami
Otocinclus Vestitus 3 Otocinclus
Microgeophagus ramirezi 1 Angel Ram
Paracheirodon axelrodi 7 Cardinal Tetras

I'm thinking about adding an:
Apistogramma Cacatuoide 1 Double Full Red Cockatoo (suggested by Poetic_Irony)

or another male Dwarf Cichlid of some kind, but not sure if two male Dwarf Cichlids will get along. Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks
Zambize

there are some apistogramus that i had that looked and were better quality fish than the comon Cacatuoides double red...

like the bitaeniata or the viejita... and i wouldn't get the double red... the red takes away the pearls that the normal cockatoo's have... they're more of a rainbow... double reds just have red dorsal and coudal fins... but they do stand out...

um... i had my apisto. with ram cichlids... i heard about them doing okay with kribs... both of those aren't aggressive... actually... i don't think any of they are aggressive...

good luck...

Thanks Gum, I'll look at the ones you mention. I'm new to Rams so this'll be fun. :)
