I would need to check with local laws before doing this. But I wanted to find out more about collecting SW fish. Has anyone done this? How did you acclimate them? Slow drip? This would be my biggest worry, that I wouldn't acclimate them correctly. Or that they would get injured while capturing them. How do you capture them anyway? I must sound like a total newb but I've never really thought about this before even though I live near the ocean!

Really depends where you're collecting from. Temperate fish/inverts don't do well at 80F. While many fish sold at pet stores and the like are collected from the ocean, they're mostly from tropical regions.
