Buying premixed or mixing yourself?
Which one do you prefer doing? I imagine convenience is a factor but is there a big difference in cost?

Mix yourself - you'll save a LOT of money. You can further save by buying a good salt in bulk online.
If you decide to buy premixed make sure the price is fair - people sometimes will post how much they pay for premixed and some people are paying exorbitant amounts and didn't realize it!
