Vegan cheese help?

Has anyone tried any of the vegan cheeses on the market? I've heard that not all of them are all that tasty and some work better for certain things (e.g. melting cheeses) so I don't really want to spend like $5+ on a thing of cheese I don't like! I've loved all the vegan milks I've tried though, so maybe I'm not very picky.

What about the Daiya brand, I've seen that for sale at Whole Foods stores iirc.

Check out your local stores and see what they're selling. We used to have a Winn Dixie that sold vegan cheeses.
