My tank looks boring
How can I liven my saltwater tank up? The fish are great, they're very interesting to watch. But the scape just looks too simple. Anything I can do about it that won't cost a ton of money in really expensive lighting?

Do you have a background of any kind? I always feel like a background makes a big difference. Seeing through the back of the tank is distracting and takes away from your scape.
Do you have enough rock? You could either add more or rearrange it so that it gives off a better appearance.

Some more coral? Doesn't need to be expensive, cheap coral will do. Coral is so colorful and intricate. When I look at pictures or videos of marine tanks that are full of coral, even really small tanks, I find myself studying the picture/video and being amazed at all there is to look at, and that's before I even get into the fish/inverts.
