I know nerites don't breed in freshwater so they never get out of control in freshwater aquariums but is this something that I should be concerned about for saltwater?
And are nerites very beneficial in a saltwater tank? They're good algae eaters and reef safe, right?

Yes, nerite snails can live and thrive in freshwater, saltwater and brackish water but they can only breed in brackish water.
