Jellyfish?!
Does anyone here keep jellyfish? I just heard recently of people keeping jellyfish and it sounds amazing. Apparently a lot of people in Japan keep them, from what I heard? Are they difficult to keep? Can you keep them in reef tanks or with fish?

Re: Jellyfish?!
Oh yeah I've heard of people keeping jellyfish before! Not anyone I know personally though, unfortunately. My brother and I were talking about it on the phone awhile back as he loves the idea of keeping jellyfish. I've done a bit of research on them at various times over the last few years or so but I always forget the specifics.
I just know that people say it's expensive because apparently you need to buy a tank made specially for jellyfish? I think even a really small one costs like $200-$300. Larger ones cost more. Still, not a bad price really if you think about it as these tanks as specially made and really pleasing to the eye.

That's really not a bad price, no. Just think how much a small biocube aquarium costs! And they're not even made for a specific fish like jellyfish tanks are, which surely has to raise the price some. If there's not a lot of companies selling jellyfish tanks and they're not something people can easily make themselves then they're able to get away with selling them at a higher cost because people can't get them anywhere else.

Huh. Jellyfish aren't something I've ever considered keeping before. What do they eat? Is it a specialist diet or...?
