feather duster
the head of my feather duster has fallen off. and as i reached in to take the tube out i could feel something inside. but i dont want to hurt whatever is in there. can anyone tell me what could possibly be in there?

I thought the duster shrinks back into the tube?
Are you sure the head of the duster is not in the tube?
Did you find the head someplace? LOL. If not, I would say he is HIDING in there.

the feathery part fell off. i took it out of the tank but left the tube. cuz there is something inside it i just dont know what

Well, like jdak said, leave it in and see what happens.
I just did a little research and DO NOT THROW IT AWAY.
It is still alive and will grow a new head.

They really don't have the longest life expectancy. It is a worm in that tube. I'd leave it in the tank tho. If it is alive, hopefully it will regrow although the 2 i have lost in the last 4 years never made a comeback. If it is dead, the bristols will take care of it. I don't think it is big enough to foul a tank.
