Live Rock
I found some great pieces of live rock at my lfs but some of the fish in that same tank have ich. I know its a dumb question but how likely is it that the rock can cattch the ich?

ich cant survive without a host... it will eventually die off after 6 weeks... so if you have a quarntine tank, then i would quarntine it (without any fish)..... or you could do that and treat it for ich as well......
its just what i do...

thats should work...i didnt know that you were just starting out.... itll all be out of the tank by the time you start adding fish......just a word of advice also...when you start adding fish you should treat them for ick in a hospital tank.... we made the mistake and added them right into the tank and it killed all of our fish... so we had to let it cycle out for 8 weeks before we added anything to it..... the ick wont affect inverts and corals and such....
