I agree that you should use a gravity fed feed line. The water flow out of the display will be only matched by what is put back into the display by the return pump (AS LONG AS THE OVERFLOW PIPE IS LARGE ENOUGH.) of coarse if you have a maccas straw as an overflow a 500lph pumps going to over flow your sump.
